Seismology Laboratory

In charge: Dr. Ittai Kurzon

The Seismology Laboratory consists of two components:

  • A computer center with processing and analysis seismic software, used for signal processing, seismic database archiving, and advanced research in the field of Earthquake Seismology.
  • Data acquisition and seismic station deployment for specific research projects.

Types of analyses:
Detection and location of seismic events
Ground Motion Prediction Equations (GMPEs)
Rupture Directivity
Calibration of seismic events
Seismic noise analysis
Cross-Correlation of Geophysical signals
Cluster analysis
